What happens when local governments start making decisions not just based on instinct—but on real, accessible data?

This June 17–19, 2025, I’ve been invited by DICT Region 3 and DICT Tarlac Province to be one of the resource speakers for their Data Driven Governance Competency Framework training. It’s happening at the Executive Boardroom of Tarlac City Hall, and I’m incredibly honored to be part of this conversation.

The Process: Turning Information into Action

The idea behind the data driven governance framework is simple, but powerful: equip public servants with the skills to make smarter, more transparent, and measurable decisions through data.

But getting there isn’t as easy as installing dashboards or collecting spreadsheets. That’s why this training isn’t just about tools—it’s about developing a mindset. A way of thinking that puts citizens at the center of policies, using insights pulled from community needs, resource usage, and real-time reporting.

In my session, I’ll walk through the practical side of data governance. We’ll talk about how departments can collaborate around data, and how technology, when grounded in real community work, becomes the key enabler of long-term change.

The Outcome: Better Decisions, Stronger Trust

This isn’t just about performance reports. Data-driven governance leads to better prioritization of projects, fairer allocation of budgets, and faster response times in emergencies. More importantly, it builds public trust—because when leaders explain decisions with clarity and evidence, people listen.

Looking Ahead: Building a Culture of Data

Joining this session isn’t about showcasing expertise—it’s about being part of a shared movement toward smarter governance.

If you’re attending, I look forward to learning alongside you. And if you’re building your own data driven governance framework, I’d be glad to share what we’ve learned on the ground.
